We ask so casually, I know I do. "Hey, how are you?" I've caught myself asking while walking by with a wave, and no intention of hearing the answer. I'm going to try really hard to only ask when I want to know, and when I only want to acknowledge them as I pass by, I'll say things like "Good to see you.", "Hope you're well!", "See you later, alligator."
A person tells another person how they really are.
Blah, blah, blah ... I guess some people don’t realize that “How are you?” is a rhetorical question.
