By now, and for a while, I’ve suspected, as I’m sure you have too, that we’re mostly only seeing the extreme versions of people’s lives.
And it’s not that I don’t want to see people enjoying their celebrations, or that I don’t want to support people through their hardships. It’s just that I’m concerned that when the archeologists of the future dig through our posts they won’t have an accurate view of our daily lives, which (I’m pretty sure) is not as great or horrible as the majority of posts on my newsfeed suggest.
So here I am wondering what I can do to help our future anthropologists, and this is the best I came up with.
